Ink Bird in Aqua Resin Hanging Sculpture - 37cm, a long-beaked bird sketched in dark ink within a clear aqua resin block, suspended by a black carrier and gilded hook against a plain light background.
Ink Bird in Aqua Resin Hanging Sculpture - 37cm $2,56400
Description

A block of aqua resin with a long-beaked bird sketched in dark ink inside it, standing low in the block with its beak pointed forward. The aqua is clear and cool, like water in a pool, and it pales towards the bottom. A dark carrier clasps the block from above under a gilded hook; the fitting is supplied, and the piece hangs from it.

A Kingfisher Colour of Water

Aqua turns the block into water, and the long-beaked bird sketched inside it looks like a kingfisher waiting at the edge of a stream. The ink is laid in quick, loose, confident strokes, so the bird has the freshness of a brush drawing, and the clear aqua lets it be seen from every side. Each face of the block is polished and the edges left crisp, and the dark carrier above frames the cool colour the way a dark mount sets off a delicate watercolour.

Hang it in a bathroom window, a garden room or a bright landing, where the light falls through it from behind and nothing sits beneath the hook. It suits white, blue and green rooms and pairs well with plants. Against daylight the aqua glows and the bird stands out in dark ink, and on a grey morning the block still looks like clear water.

Deeper Blue or Green, a Gold Carrier, and Delivery

Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The aqua can be deepened towards blue or shifted towards green, the bird can be sketched in another stance, and the fitting can be gilded all over. Amber and yellow blocks with ink birds, and the clear block holding a green bird, are sold on their own. Block and carrier are crated together, fitted and ready to hang; carry it by the resin rather than the hook while it is put up. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A long-beaked ink bird in cool aqua resin sits among our resin sculptures; its waterside subject belongs to our organic sculptures, and it lights up a window as one of our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
