Honey Timber Log Clear Resin Cube Table, 42cm, with upright log section showing honey-gold grain and weathered bark edges, on a plain white background.
Honey Timber Log Clear Resin Cube Table - 42cm $4,31900
Description

A cube table of clear cast resin with a section of log standing upright through its middle. The log keeps much of its round outline: one face is sawn flat to a honey-gold timber with a close, straight grain running the full height, and down its flanks the outer wood is left weathered and grey-brown. Its cut end sits flush in the top face, where the growth rings show as a target of fine lines.

Casing a Log End So the Rings Stay Legible

Two views make this cube. From above, the log end sits flush with the resin around it, so the top is one level surface made of two materials, and its rings are legible from standing height. From the side, the sawn face shows a honey-gold timber, its grain running straight from top to bottom, with the weathered grey-brown wood of the log's rounded sides on either flank. Against the light the clear arrises pick up as bright vertical lines at each corner while the timber stays matt, so the block reads as warm wood framed by bright edges. Each log gives a different figure.

At 42cm the cube sits at seat height, so it serves as a stool as well as a side table. The log end in the top face is the part that will be looked at most, so place it where it can be seen from above rather than tucked beside a chair arm. It suits a pale floor, which picks up the honey of the timber, and it takes side light well because the clear margin at the arrises then reads as a bright line. Indoors only.

Which Timber Goes In, and How Much Clear Surrounds It

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The timber is what sets it. Three things are open at order. The timber itself, from this honey-gold through to a dark walnut that reverses the tonal balance completely, or a spalted stock with figure running through it. How much clear surrounds the log, from its present margin out to a wide clear border that leaves the timber apparently suspended. And the top, which can show the cut end flush as here or be capped with clear resin over it. Plan and height are named by you, and a group is chosen from one log so the tone relates. One crate, two people to lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A log standing in a clear cube makes a stool or side table for our art furniture; the honey timber and its rings tie it to our organic sculptures, and the casting to our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
