Honey Amber & Gold Cleft Cradle Resin Sculpture, 52cm, curved form with gold flake accents and a sky blue tip, shown on a plain white background.
Honey Amber & Gold Cleft Cradle Resin Sculpture - 52cm $2,44100
Description

This cleft cradle is cast in warm honey amber resin, glossy and translucent, its long belly sinking away from a tall end curled over at the top towards a low tip at the other. Gold-toned flakes are laid in broad, torn patches along the floor of the belly and up the hollow of the tall end, and a few spill onto the top of its lip. The low tip turns a clear sky blue, edged with a fine line of navy, and clears to colourless as it meets the amber, while a brown-amber line traces the rim of the tall end. It has no base, sitting on a small flat at the bottom of the belly.

Amber, Torn Gold-Toned Flakes and a Sky Blue Tip

Three colours share this cradle without mixing. The amber is the body, warm and clear enough to glow wherever light falls on it; the gold-toned flakes keep to the floor and the tall end, torn at their edges so they read as patches of light rather than a coat; and the sky blue is held at the low tip, one cool note set against the gold of the tall end. Along the upper edge of the gold on the floor, a scatter of olive specks softens the boundary between flake and amber. Read from the blue end, the piece starts cool and clear and warms into amber and gold as the eye travels up to the curled lip.

Stand it lengthwise along a sideboard, a deep shelf or a writing desk, so that the blue tip and the gold-lined end are seen together. Morning light from a window makes the amber glow and lifts the gold, while a lamp beside the tall end catches the flakes on its inner face. A warm wall in cream or sand suits the honey; a cool grey one sharpens the blue tip instead. It is at home in a sitting room, a study or an entrance, wherever it can be seen side on.

Amber, Gold and Blue Changes, and Delivery

Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Commissions can move the amber towards a deeper copper or a paler straw, take the sky blue further along the low tip or leave it out, and thin the gold-toned flakes or omit them for a plain amber floor. Its width can be changed as well, with both ends kept in the same proportion, and the gloss exchanged for a frosted surface that turns the amber to a soft, even glow. Its crate holds it bedded beneath the belly with the tall end and its lip padded, and it is unpacked by the body alone, keeping hands off the lip and the blue tip. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Honey amber with torn gold-toned flakes and a sky blue tip brings this cleft cradle to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
