Honey Amber & Clear Curling Splash Resin Sculpture, 81cm, with a swept wave form shifting from amber base to clear looping arms, shown on a plain white background.
Honey Amber & Clear Curling Splash Resin Sculpture - 81cm $2,58200
Description

Warm honey amber fills the bowl of this curling splash and climbs the swept wall on one side nearly as far as the twisted band, deepening to burnt orange in a few streaks at the very foot. The jagged points around the bowl and the root of the spray thrown out opposite glow gold, while the band, the slender arch beneath it, the looping arm and the two upright ends are clear. The effect is of sunlit water thrown up from a golden pool.

Honey Gold Climbing the Swept Wall

Amber is a forgiving tint to live with and an exacting one to judge, because honey and orange sit close together and a little too much colour turns the gold heavy. Here it is kept light and golden, carried high on the swept side so that the wall glows almost from end to end, and allowed to fall away on the band side so that the twist above is read in clear resin alone. The crown points catch the gold at their roots and lose it at their tips, a small echo of the way the whole piece moves from warm to clear as it rises.

Warm colour belongs with warm materials: oak, walnut, leather, brass and plaster walls all sit happily beside it. At 81cm it looks at home on an oak sideboard, the golden bowl a little below the eye of anyone walking past, and it holds its own on a broad hall console too. Sun from the side in the morning or the evening turns the amber to a glow, and a single lamp after dark does much the same.

Commissioning the Honey Splash, and Shipping

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. On commission the amber can be held in the bowl alone or carried right up into the band, and it can be warmed or lightened within the honey tones. The spray, the loop and the two tips at the top are all open to redrawing, and a different scale is possible too. It is shipped in a fitted, foam-padded crate, with the clear arm and loop cushioned on their own, and on arrival it simply comes out of the crate and is set down: always by the bowl, never by the arm or the spray. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Honey amber climbing a swept wall beneath clear arms brings this splash to our organic sculptures, lends a golden note to our resin sculptures, and settles it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
