A drapery turning through its height with smoke held at a depth in the body and a pale blue vein following one fold, on a round metal disc. Grey and smoke through the whole body with a pale blue vein running the length of one fold. A round disc is supplied beneath it, in brushed metal.
Smoke suspended at a depth moves against the outline as the viewer moves, which is a thing no mark on a surface can do. The vein follows a fold rather than crossing one, and that is the whole of the drawing decision here: a mark laid along the direction of a turn is carried by it, and a mark laid across it would simply interrupt. Smoke suspended in a clear body sits at a depth, so the vein moves against the outline as you move and the drapery never reads quite the same twice. Polished over every fold, and the disc is left with its own brushed surface.
A cabinet top or a console suits it, set somewhere people go by rather than sit down. A pale ground behind it, because a grey body against a dark wall has almost no edge. Light from one side finds the blue vein; from any other direction the piece is grey throughout. The twist carries across a room and the vein is a reward for coming near.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The vein is run in another colour on request, the smoke is left out if you would rather, and a stone disc is available. Take the smoke out and the drapery becomes colourless, so the vein is the only thing left and the fold count is opened to carry it. A single crate with the disc at the bottom of it, and there is nothing at all to fix. One person, lifting from beneath the disc rather than round the fold. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A grey drapery turning with smoke suspended in it belongs to our organic sculptures; the round disc it stands on connects it with our metal sculptures, and a corridor people walk along is the right setting among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
