On this acrylic table a clear disc oversails the bundle of rods beneath it. The rods that carry it are graded grey, deep at the head and clear at the floor. Because the disc is wider than the bundle by a good margin on every side, the rod ends are visible through it from above as a ring of circles, and from a seated height the top appears to rest on nothing at its rim.
An overhanging clear top over a rodded base is mostly a problem of what you can see through it. Every rod end shows through the disc, so any rod cut a fraction short reads as a gap in the ring and any rod cut long lifts the disc off the others. The bundle is faced as a group after assembly so all the ends arrive on one plane, and the disc is then seated on that plane rather than on a spacer. The grey is a harder tint to grade than a colour: with no hue to carry it the eye reads the change as a change in clarity, so the run has to be long and even or the bundle looks dirty rather than graded. The disc's own edge is brought up bright, which is what separates it from the grey below.
A wide clear top on a narrow base makes this the table to put where floor space is short but surface is wanted - beside a chair in a bay, at the turn of a stair, in a narrow hall. At 49cm it sits low for a lamp and right for a book and a glass. Grey asks for very little attention, so it will not fight a patterned rug or a painting behind it. Set it where light comes from above if you can: overhead light puts the ring of rod ends on show through the disc, which is the whole trick of the piece.
Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. The overhang can be brought in toward the bundle or taken further out, and the disc is available cut square. The grey can be replaced with a colour or left out for a fully clear table, and the rod count can be changed. The bundle comes assembled and the disc travels flat beside it, seating onto the faced rod ends on arrival with no fixings, so nothing wider than the disc needs to come through a door. Two hands are enough for either part. The disc is sleeved on both faces, as a clear top shows a scuff from any angle once it is in daylight. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear disc oversailing a grey bundle belongs with our acrylic sculptures; rod ends ringed beneath the top lead to our geometric sculptures, and a small table for a tight bay joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
