Grey Frosted Forked Rock on Marble Resin Sculpture, 40cm, with a white forked head grading to smoke grey at the base, set on a black marble block against a light background.
Grey Frosted Forked Rock on Marble Resin Sculpture - 40cm $1,62000
Description

A frosted upright rock, white through a head split into two round lobes and darkening to a cool smoke grey towards the broken ledge at its foot. The grey is darkest in the ledge, where the rock is broadest. The notch between the lobes runs deep. Its black marble block is supplied, and the rock stands square on it.

Smoke Grey Under a Forked White Head

Grey is the quietest way to grade this form: the head stays white and almost luminous while the foot settles into a cool smoke, like a stone that has weathered from the ground up. On a frosted surface the change is soft, with no edge where one tone ends, and the two lobes of the head stand out pale against whatever is behind them. The broken ledge at the foot carries the deepest grey, so the piece reads as heavy below and light above, which suits its narrow, upright shape.

Standing 40cm on its marble, it belongs on a bookshelf or a desk among other objects, where the grey reads as natural stone. Set it square to the room so the notch between the lobes is seen face on; side light picks out the frosted texture across the head, and against a plain wall the outline stays clean.

Grey, Green or Teal, and Delivery

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. Charcoal or a paler dove grey can be cast instead, and green, teal or honey can be poured in its place. The notch can be opened up further. A polished finish turns the frost to glass and is a much brighter object. Packed in a single carton with foam round the lobes, it is light enough for one person. A touch of gold leaf on the head is possible too. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A forked rock settling to smoke grey belongs with our organic sculptures; a quiet grey grade under white lobes places it in our resin sculptures, and a small upright stone among books suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
