Nothing is pierced through the Grey Draped Twist Resin Sculpture, so it is read wholly from its surface; the black marble under it is part of the piece. A wide flaring skirt gathers at the top into folds and falls to a narrow twisted stem at the bottom, and the colour runs from colourless at the crown to a dark, almost black grey where the stem meets the base.
A pierced rock is read through its holes; this one is read entirely off its surface, which makes it a different kind of object. The skirt is folded in on itself several times, so the sculpture holds deep shadows in the hollows and bright highlights on the ridges between them, and the shadows are what give it depth instead of the light coming through. The stem is a quarter-turn twist and it is the narrowest passage on the piece, only a few centimetres across, which is why the flare above it reads as suspended.
At 58cm overall on its small base it belongs on a desk or a sideboard. Because it is solid rather than pierced it does not need a plain wall behind it, and it will hold up against a patterned wallpaper or a bookcase. Light from one side is what it wants, to read the folds; light from directly in front flattens them. The dark grey foot anchors it visually so it can stand on a pale surface without looking as though it is floating. Indoor use only.
The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. Three things are set at order on this piece. Fold depth changes it most: shallow folds make a smooth draped cone, and deep folds as here make a piece that reads almost as fabric. Stem thickness is the structural choice rather than a cosmetic one, and a slightly heavier stem is offered where the sculpture is going somewhere it may be knocked, at some cost to how suspended the skirt looks. The colour run is specified by where it starts, and clear-to-grey can be replaced by any tint from the studio range. On a desk the black can read severe, so a pale stone base is offered as well. Handling is simpler than on the pierced pieces because there is nothing to put a finger through: it travels in a fitted foam shell with the base packed separately, and it is lifted with one hand under the skirt and one around the stem. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A draped skirt flaring over a twisted stem belongs with our abstract sculptures; folds that hold shadow instead of openings set it among our organic sculptures, and clear resin that darkens down the stem suits our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
