Green to Clear Radiating Disc Resin Sculpture, 100cm, with ribbed texture lightening from green core to clear rim, on a long white marble base against a plain light background.
Green to Clear Radiating Disc Resin Sculpture - 100cm $3,10500
Description

A disc cut into radiating ribs with a single irregular opening away from its centre, carried on a stone base that runs well wider than the disc. Green at the core clearing outward to the rim, so the ribs lighten along their whole length. A long, low marble base is supplied with it.

Ribs With a Beginning and an End

This one is measured across its base and not up its face, and that is worth saying plainly. The base is the reason this reads as a horizontal object rather than a vertical one. Running well wider than the disc itself, it turns the piece into something seen along a length, and the ribs are cut to be read that way. Colour that clears along each rib of the casting makes every one a line with a beginning and an end, so the green face reads as drawing rather than as texture. Ribs cut across the entire face and left granulated, with no polish taken to them at all.

It suits a long sideboard or a console: the base is wider than the disc and wants the run. A plain pale wall behind it, so the rim has something to end against. A source off to one side throws each rib onto its neighbour, and that is where the depth comes from. The disc and its off-centre opening carry across a room; the ribs resolve at a few paces.

Moving the Opening, and Getting It There

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. The opening can be moved, the green can be exchanged, and a base cut to your own run is available. Shorten the base and the piece stops being read along a run, which is what so long a run of stone under the disc is there for. One crate. The base is the heavy part and travels flat. Two people for the base alone. The disc is set on afterwards. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Ribs radiating from a green core are gathered in our organic sculptures; the granulated green casting sits within our resin sculptures, and more for a long, low setting is in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
