A green curl hooks over and reaches out to one side, the colour running through it in separate fern-like strands rather than as an even tint. The strands are densest in the belly of the hook and thin out towards the reaching end, where the material is almost clear and finishes in a small forked tip. The fibreglass base beneath is black, flat where the curl stands on it and rising at its far end into low, rolling ridges like a swell.
An even tint is a property of the material; strands are a property of the piece. Here the green runs through the clear body as fronds, dense and dark in the belly of the hook where they crowd and overlap, finer and paler as they run out along the reaching arm, so the eye reads them as growth spreading through water. Each frond is drawn like a fern, a central stem with fine leaflets either side, some deep green and some a fresh yellow-green. Where they thin out the resin is left almost clear, so the hook seems to lighten as it reaches, and the forked tip at its end carries only a trace of colour.
Shallow from front to back, it is meant to be met from the front, and it loses most of its drawing seen from the end, where the strands stack into a single dark band and the green stops separating. Anywhere it can be approached head on gives it what it needs: a shelf at eye height, a desk, or the middle of a long sideboard. Its base asks for more depth than the curl itself, though not a great deal, and a pale wall behind lets the fronds read clearly.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. Its green lies in the body as fronds rather than as a wash, and that is what a commission can vary most. The colour of the fronds can change to a blue or an amber, they can be drawn denser, and the ridged end of the base can be made plain. The reach of the hook is set at order as well, so a tighter version is made where the surface is short. It travels flat in a foam-lined case with the reaching end faced and the base packed beneath it, and it is lifted out by the belly of the hook and stood on its base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Colour running in strands instead of a wash is organic sculpture; the green sits in resin sculpture; and a piece this shallow is indoor sculpture.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
