Green Set Vane Disc Cast Resin Low Table, 90cm, round green-tinted resin top with curved vanes and a grey block, on a grey base, shown on a plain white background.
Green Set Vane Disc Cast Resin Low Table - 90cm $4,92700
Description

In this low table a thick disc of green-tinted resin holds a row of curved vanes set into its body, and they run across to a squared grey block that sits within the disc rather than beside it. Underneath, grey slab panels cross beneath the whole plan to carry it. The vanes are read through the resin, so the disc looks deeper than it is.

Curved Vanes Set Inside the Disc

The vanes are set into the mould and the resin brought up around them, so they are held in the body rather than let into a groove, and each keeps its curve without moving while the material takes. The grey block is cast to sit within the disc, which means the disc has to be formed around it to a close fit and neither can be adjusted afterwards. The base panels are worked in fibreglass to a matt finish so they take nothing from the disc above. Every resin face is polished, the underside as well, because the vanes are seen through it from below as much as from above.

Placed among the seats of a living room, it has no front, being round. The vanes are seen through the resin from above and from a seated position, so it changes as it is approached. The grey base and the grey block hold the piece together visually, and a pale floor separates the two greys where a dark one merges them.

The Vanes, the Crossing Base, and What Is Settled at Order

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. Most of it is the set vane. Three points are open. The vanes can be run in a different colour from the disc, and the base can be worked in the same tint as the block above it. Vane length and base height are settled at order. The curve of the vanes is common to a single order and particular to it. The set vanes and the crossing base are wrapped first and the disc and the base travel in separate crates, so nothing rests on a vane. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Curved vanes held in a green disc give our art furniture a low table; the vanes suit our organic sculptures, the tinted disc our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
