This tub chair's shell is a rounded square, dished for the seat and rising to a back and two low arms in one continuous surface. Around the whole top edge runs a thick rolled rim, deep enough to read as a separate element and to darken where it doubles the material. The green is translucent with cloudy swirls through it, palest across the open seat. Four slim timber legs splay outward beneath, finished black.
The rolled rim is what this chair is about. It runs the entire top edge of the shell without a break, over the back and along both arms, and it is deep enough to read as a separate element rather than as an eased edge. Where it doubles the material the green goes noticeably deeper, so the rim draws a dark line right round the chair and the open seat inside it reads pale by comparison. The cloudy swirls in the body move as you pass and are strongest where the shell is thickest. Four splayed timber legs, finished black, sit under all of it and read as matte against the gloss.
At 78cm it suits a dining table or a reading corner, with a generous seat. The rolled rim is at hand height, so it is the part that gets touched and the part that will show handling first. It reads well against a pale floor, which the green relates to, and takes light from the side, which is what deepens the rim against the seat. The timber legs are finished, not sealed. Indoors only.
Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. The rolled rim is the slow part. You settle three things. The tint can be this green, a pink or a colour of your choosing, and a clear body with no colour is also possible. The rim depth is second, from this thick roll through to a shallow eased edge, which changes the chair considerably. And the legs, which can be these black timber ones, a pale timber, or a metal. The seat height and the overall width follow your figures. The cloud in the green can be held across a group, provided the group is ordered as one. Packed with the rolled rim shielded, it needs two people at the door. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A tub chair with a rolled rim is one of the seats in our art furniture; its clouded green casting suits our resin sculptures, and its rounded shell our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
