In this cast resin sculpture a single ribbed ribbon zigzags upward from one foot in three sweeps: the first swings far out to one side, the second crosses back on a long diagonal, and the third swings out again and ends in a small upright curl. Close-set ribs run along every sweep. The resin is a smoky bottle green, deepest at the foot and along the inner side of each sweep, clearing towards the tips, though the curl keeps its green. It comes with a black marble block to stand on.
The zigzag gives the piece its rhythm. Each sweep sets off in the opposite direction to the one below it, so the ribbon reads as a single movement that keeps changing its mind, and the gaps between the sweeps matter as much as the resin. The ribs run along the ribbon's length and crowd together wherever it turns, which is where the form looks tightest; across the open faces they spread and the green thins out between them. Colour does the rest: the smoky green sits deep in the foot and along the inside of each turn, so the zigzag is traced in a darker line while the outer edges go almost clear.
At 125cm on its marble block this is floor work, and the first sweep reaches well out from the base, so it needs room around it: a hall return, a stair foot, a wide bay or the space beside a tall window all suit it, set back from any doorway and out of a corridor. Light from behind and above throws the ribbing into relief and lets the green deepen towards the foot. A light directly in front flattens the three sweeps into one plane and loses the gaps between them, which are most of what the piece is doing.
Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. Reach, height and the spacing of the three sweeps are drawn per commission, so the sweeps can be bunched or spread, and the whole piece made at gallery scale. Colour is chosen at order: this smoky green, an amber, a grey smoke, or no tint at all. Black marble is standard under it, with a pale stone possible in its place. The resin is lifted by its foot and set onto the block, never taken up by the curl or by the tip of a sweep. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A green ribbon swinging up from one foot in a three-sweep zigzag is filed with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
