Green Marbled Form Resin Sculpture on Acrylic, 175cm, twisting green and white form on a black block atop a clear acrylic plinth, plain white background.
Green Marbled Form Resin Sculpture on Acrylic - 175cm $4,92700
Description

A green marbled mass on a black block, the two of them standing on a clear plinth that carries the group to about the height of a person. Green drifting through a colourless body, on a black block over an acrylic plinth that is hardly a colour at all. Two supports come with it: a shallow black block, and a tall acrylic plinth beneath that.

Three Parts, and a Black Block Between Two

Putting a black block between the casting and the plinth is what stops the two reading as one object, and it is only a sliver of the overall height. Take the black block out and the casting sits straight onto the clear plinth, and the two of them read as a single object with a colourless bottom half. That thin band of black is the whole of what keeps them apart. Setting a coloured mass over clear acrylic means the material under it gives almost nothing back, so the green seems to be carried by the air. The casting is polished all over and the plinth is left with the flat even sheen acrylic takes.

This is floor work: most of the height is plinth and the piece is not going onto furniture. Set it against a dark wall. A pale ground behind clear acrylic makes the plinth vanish and the piece look dropped. Light from one side passes straight through the plinth and stops in the green, which is the whole effect. The casting carries across a room and the plinth is the part that disappears at a distance.

Other Plinth Heights, and Three Crates

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Other plinth heights are available, the black block can be left out altogether, and the green can be exchanged. Cut the plinth at another height and the block is settled with it, because the three parts together have to come to a height the casting can be read at. It arrives in three crates, one for each part, and goes together on site from the bottom up. Two people for the plinth and two for the casting. The plinth is levelled before the block goes on, and the block before the body. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A green marbled mass lifted high on clear acrylic is part of our acrylic sculptures; the drifting form belongs to our organic sculptures, and more to stand at head height is in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
