Green Iceberg Mass Cast Resin Low Table, 110cm, with a smooth pale polished top and rough green textured sides, shown on a plain white background.
Green Iceberg Mass Cast Resin Low Table - 110cm $9,92300
Description

It is one solid mass of green-tinted resin cast as an iceberg: the top is a smooth pale face with a soft irregular outline, and the sides are left rough and granular the whole way round, going deep green where the material is thickest at the foot. The flat face is the only worked surface on it.

An Iceberg With One Face Cut Flat

The flat top is ground back and polished from the rough mass, and the sides are left exactly as they came out of the mould, so the piece is half finished and half not by intention. The green is in the material rather than on it and deepens with the thickness, which is why the foot reads almost bottle and the top face reads pale. A mass this solid takes a long cure, and that is what governs the lead time rather than the finishing. The polished face is worked last, after the sides have been left, so no grit off the rough work reaches it.

It is a low table to stand where a seating group opens out, and the flat face is the working surface while the rough sides are the reason to have it. It reads best standing clear on a hard floor with light from one side, which is what brings the granular sides up, and it is heavy for its size.

The Green, the Rough Sides, and Moving a Mass

Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. Most of it is the granular face. Three points are open. The green can be taken deeper or replaced with another tint, the rough sides can be worked coarser, and a second face can be polished flat where the piece is to be seen from two sides. You give the top span and the floor to top. The depth of the green at the foot is common to a single order and particular to it. It is crated round the pale top face and the granular sides and needs four people to walk it into place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Our organic sculptures take in this green iceberg, left rough on every side but its smooth pale top, while the flat face makes it useful enough for our art furniture and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
