Description

A long green ridge, cast hollow and finished as land rather than as clear rock. The summits are pale where the rest is green, and the surface is worked all over rather than polished. It is long and low, slim from front to back, and nothing is supplied beneath it. The pale summits sit at intervals along the ridge, none of them alike.

Land Rather Than Rock

A clear mountain is read through: the material is the point, and what lies beyond it does half the work. This one is read at its surface. The surface is opaque and worked, the green is a landscape green rather than a tint, and the pale summits are the only place the eye is invited to stop. That changes what the form has to do: a transparent range can afford a quiet outline because the interior carries it, and an opaque one cannot. So the skyline here is varied all along its length, with no two summits alike.

It runs past the length of most sideboards and is meant to be seen along rather than across, so a long wall with a run of surface under it is what it wants. Being opaque, it needs no light behind it, so it is easy to place: an interior wall or a corridor suits it. Allow the full length with room at both ends.

The Finish, the Length, and Delivery

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. It is opaque and worked rather than clear and polished, so the skyline carries the piece on its own with no help from the light. The green is taken to a grey or an ochre, the pale summits are left out, and the ridge is built at other lengths. Cast clear and polished instead, the same form would make a completely different object, and that too can be ordered. It ships in one crate cut to its full length and bedded under the whole ridge, and two people set it down without tipping it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Green land rather than clear rock belongs with our organic sculptures; a worked, opaque shell sets it in our resin sculptures, and a long ridge for a corridor wall suits our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
