Green Hewn Block Stack Resin Sculpture - 35cm, pale green fractured blocks stacked off-angle with a flat-cut base, shown on a plain white background.
Green Hewn Block Stack Resin Sculpture - 35cm $1,88900
Description

Pale green blocks rise one above another with every face left as it broke, and each sits a few degrees off the one below it. Pale green right through, and the broken faces catch almost white against it. The lowest block is cut level, and nothing is supplied under the stack.

Joins That Have to Be Hunted For

A flat joint announces itself and a broken one does not, which is the whole of why none of these meet on the flat. Each block is cut to answer the one under it rather than to a drawing, so the column leans a little and never quite repeats a shape it has already used. Breaking the faces rather than casting them smooth is what keeps a short column from looking manufactured: no two meet flat, and the joins have to be hunted for. Nothing on it is polished; every face is left exactly as it broke.

Put it on a desk or a narrow shelf where it can be come close to. A dark ground behind it, or a pale green stack against a pale wall loses every edge. One source off to the side throws each block across the one under it, which is what gives a short stack its height. The column carries; the separate blocks sort themselves out within arm's reach.

Another Count of Blocks, and a Small Crate

Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. We will change the block count, run another green through, or set the stack at a different lean. The count of blocks is specified at the order, and each one below is drawn wider to carry what goes above it. The lean is specified at the order. A small crate, and it comes out ready to stand. One person can lift it, taking the lowest block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Pale green blocks stacked with every face left broken lead to our organic sculptures; the hewn casting joins our resin sculptures, and a small space suits it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
