Green Gold-Flecked Folded Ribbon Resin Sculpture, 83cm, zigzagging band fading from olive to clear with gold flecks, on a black base, plain white background.
Green Gold-Flecked Folded Ribbon Resin Sculpture - 83cm $1,82200
Description

A flat olive-green band zigzagging upward in open folds, none of them touching the next, and ending in a small clear trumpet at the crown. Flecks of gold leaf are caught right through the body, so the ribbon glints wherever the light finds one. Olive at the foot, the colour pales to lime and then to clear towards the top. It stands on a black block, which comes with it.

Gold Leaf Caught in a Green Ribbon

The gold leaf sits at different depths through the band rather than on its face, so the flecks drift in and out of the light as you move around the piece. The olive green deepens at the broad foot of the band, and clears as the ribbon narrows towards the trumpet, so the whole piece seems to lighten as it rises. Every surface of the ribbon is polished, the hidden turns as much as the outer faces, and each piece carries its own scatter of gold, so no two are quite alike.

Set it on a sideboard or a deep shelf in a study or a sitting room, so the gold can catch a lamp. It suits green, cream and walnut rooms and sits well beside brass and books. Light from one side sets the flecks glinting; a pale wall behind it keeps the folds of the ribbon clear, and daylight turns the green to a fresh lime.

More Gold, Another Green, and Delivery

Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. The gold can be scattered more densely or more sparingly, or left out entirely, while the green can be deepened or moved towards teal. Another fold can be added to the ribbon. A blue version of the same ribbon is sold on its own. The block travels in the same crate, and the ribbon is lifted out and set on its block by one person, holding it low on the band rather than at the trumpet. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Gold leaf glinting through a green folded ribbon belongs to our organic sculptures; the flecked casting joins our resin sculptures, and more for a lamp-lit corner is in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
