Green Gold Fleck Crazed Boat Resin Sculpture, 120cm, a long pointed boat form in crazed bottle-green resin with gold-toned flecks, on a plain white background.
Green Gold Fleck Crazed Boat Resin Sculpture - 120cm $4,68000
Description

A long boat of clear, bottle-green resin, drawn to a fine point at both ends, its hull curving up in one long sweep from the middle to each point. The green deepens to a dark band along the rim and clears through the body, a fine crazing runs through the walls and the floor alike, and crumpled gold-toned flakes are caught in torn patches through the floor and up the lower walls, gathering towards one end. It needs no base.

Crazing and Gold Held in Bottle Green

Crazing and gold are two different kinds of incident, and here they share one clear green body without competing. The crazing is a network of fine lines running through the walls and the floor alike, so the whole boat reads as one cracked, ice-like mass; the gold-toned flakes are torn patches with ragged edges, caught low in the floor and drifting up the lower walls, thickest towards one end. Against them the green does the drawing: dark along the rim, where it outlines the long sweep from point to point, and clear through the body, where everything held inside can be seen.

Set it on a long console, a sideboard or a wide desk, low enough to be looked down into as well as seen side on, since the flakes in the floor show best from above. Overhead light catches the crazing and makes it glitter; a lamp beside it lights the green along the rim. A pale surface beneath lifts the green and a dark one deepens it almost to black. Give it a clear run of surface, with room at both points.

Spans, the Crazing and Delivery

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. The gold-toned flakes can be scattered more thinly or left out, the crazing kept finer or confined to one half, and the green taken toward blue or amber. Other lengths of boat are possible too, the crazing worked through the whole body whatever the span. It ships in one long crate bedded along its underside with both points boxed clear, and it is lifted with hands spread beneath the hull, never by the points. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A crazed green hull drawn to two points, gold-toned flakes held low inside it, is shelved with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
