Green Frosted Twisted Loop Resin Sculpture - 164cm, a smoky grey-green and leaf green frosted resin loop on a white marble plinth, plain light background.
Green Frosted Twisted Loop Resin Sculpture - 164cm $12,21000
Description

A frosted band of resin twisted into a loop that crosses over itself before it closes, turning as it goes so that its face and its edge take turns towards you. The colour follows the twist: a smoky grey-green along the upper edges, a vivid leaf green glowing through the middle of the band, and a pale, almost white frost low down where it meets its foot. It stands on a broad plinth of white marble veined in grey, and it can be ordered without the plinth as the loop on its own.

A Band That Crosses Itself Before It Closes

A twisted loop has a crossing, and the crossing is where the whole piece is decided: it is where the band passes over itself and the place the eye returns to. The band is frosted so that its thickness shows as colour, which turns the twist into a gradient that can be followed round the whole loop, smoky at the edges, glowing in the faces and fading out at the foot. The frost also takes the shine off every surface, so the form is read by its tones rather than by its reflections, and the curve of the band stays unbroken from any side.

At 164cm with its plinth, the top of the loop is met at the height of a standing visitor's eyes, so it can hold an entrance or a hall by itself, with space left all round it, since the loop closes from some sides and opens from others. A dark or planted background makes the green stand out against the white marble below it. Low side light shows the gradient across the band. From a distance it reads as a green knot, and the frosting shows only close to.

The Marble Plinth, the Twist and the Crate

Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The loop comes on its white marble plinth and is also sold without it, to stand on the floor by itself. Three things are open at the order. The twist can be drawn tighter or looser, the green can be deepened or taken towards teal, and the frosted finish can give way to a high polish where a brighter surface is wanted. Loop and plinth travel in separate crates, the loop bedded beneath the crossing, and whoever moves the loop takes its weight under the foot, never at the crossing or an edge. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Loops and knots of this kind run through our organic sculpture, frosted bodies through our resin sculpture, and drawing as spare as this through our contemporary sculpture.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
