A ribbon folded back on itself up a vertical and standing on the lowest fold, with dark threads running through the green body at every depth. Teal green runs the body with dark threads suspended in it, most of them gathered where the folds cross. Nothing is supplied under it. The lowest fold spreads out and is the foot.
Standing the same folded form on its own foot rather than a plinth moves the whole argument into the casting, because nothing else is holding it up. The threads gather where the folds cross, which is where the body is thickest, so the darkest part of the piece is also its heaviest and the two read as one fact. The threads sit at whatever depth the mass settled them at, which is what a clear casting can offer and no applied finish can. Polished over every face, and the threads are read at whatever depth they happen to sit.
A hall, a broad landing or a conservatory, standing on the floor with nothing set beside it. Plain behind it, since the threads only read against an even ground. Light from behind brings the threads forward; light from the front loses them entirely. The zigzag carries across a room and the threads are a close matter, so the piece is two different objects at two distances.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The threads are drawn finer or left out, the green is taken toward blue, and a block is supplied to stand it on. Leave the threads out and the green has to be deepened, because they were doing half the work of giving the body depth. Nothing to assemble: the column comes out of its crate and goes straight to the floor it is going to occupy. Two people at this height, taken by the two lowest folds. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A folded column with threads held inside it belongs to our organic sculptures; the teal casting sits among our resin sculptures, and more for a broad landing is in our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
