This resin sculpture is one form in two attitudes, with one of them supplied per order. The standing one is a broad rounded body drawn up to a fine tip that curls over at the top. The lying one is the same motif on its side, with the tip rising and curling at one end. Both are a deep bottle green, glossy and almost clear at the tip, and both are finely fluted round the foot of the body like the grooves of a shell.
The two treatments of the surface are what make this work. Most of the body is a smooth unbroken curve with nothing on it, so it holds one long highlight and reads as a single swelling volume. Then the last third before the ground breaks into close vertical flutes, dozens of them, each one shallow, which stops the mass sitting flat and gives the foot a texture the eye can measure the size against. The tip does the opposite: it draws out of the smooth part of the body, thins to something close to a needle, and curls back over, so a heavy form ends in a line. Green is carried in the material and deepens with the mass, so the thin tip is almost clear and the widest part of the body is nearly black. Every tip is drawn by hand and none of them curls the same way.
Both versions are surface pieces and want a clear ground. At 50cm the upright suits a console, a sideboard, a hall table or a wide shelf and reads at seated eye level, which is where the tip registers. The recumbent version is a desk, shelf or coffee table object, seen best from above so that the curl and the flutes are both in view. Neither wants anything standing close to it: the tip is a fine element and it disappears against a busy background, so a plain wall behind and a hand's width of clear surface around is what they need. A pale ground lifts the green and a dark one loses it. Indoor use only.
Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The two versions are separate objects at separate prices rather than one design at two sizes, so the picker is worth checking against the sizes above before ordering. They are made to be bought together as well as apart, and standing side by side they read as one piece and its echo. On the material: this bottle green is standard, and an amber, a smoke grey and a clear are all made, with the depth of colour adjustable so the whole body can be brought to the near-clear of the tip. The flutes can be run higher up the body or left off entirely for a plain foot. The upright version can also be made at a greater height to order, where the tip becomes considerably finer relative to the body. Either version is boxed standing, with the tip packed out in its own moulded pocket because it is the part that would suffer, and one person can carry both. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Shapes like these appear in our abstract sculptures, the teardrop lobe belongs with our organic sculptures, and bottle green resin clearing at the tip leads to our resin sculptures.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
