Green Eroded Boulder Resin Sculpture, 135cm, with textured emerald-green worked surface on a thin black base, set against a plain light background.
Green Eroded Boulder Resin Sculpture - 135cm $9,11200
Description

A boulder worked over its entire surface, with no polished area anywhere on it and the quarried character kept through every face. Emerald through the whole mass, deepening wherever the worked face cuts into it. It stands tall for its width, and the mass narrows toward the crown. A thin black base is supplied beneath it.

Erosion Read as Light, Not Shadow

Nothing on it is polished, which on a mass this size is a decision rather than an omission: one flat face would read as damage against the rest of the surface. The working is carried right round to the back for the same reason. The resin is the whole reason the erosion reads as light rather than shadow, being near solid through the mass and clear at every worked edge. Worked over the whole face with no polished area anywhere, so the surface keeps its quarried character.

Floor work for a hall or the foot of a stair, with more than one approach to it. A pale ground behind it, because a saturated green mass on a dark wall closes into a silhouette. Light from one side finds every worked edge; flat light turns the whole boulder into one green face. The colour carries the length of a hall and the working of the surface is a near fact.

Cutting the Face Deeper, and a Four-Person Lift

Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. Ask us to work the face deeper, to exchange the green, or to make the boulder at another height. Cut the face deeper and the mass is drawn fuller to carry it, since the erosion takes material the outline still needs. The plate is set down and levelled before the boulder comes out of its crate. Four people. It is the weight rather than the reach on this one. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

An emerald boulder worked over every face belongs to our organic sculptures; its green, deep through the mass and clear at each edge, joins our resin sculptures, and a hall with more than one approach sets it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
