A ball of deep translucent green, opened into two scoops that turn so that each one looks into the other. The outer surface is left as an unbroken curve and the cut faces are polished, so nothing of the opening shows until you are square to it. A block of black marble carries it and is part of the piece.
The cut has to take a great deal of material out of the middle and leave the outside untouched, which sounds like two separate jobs and is in fact one. Every point on the curve belongs to both: a scoop driven too deep breaks through the skin, and one kept too shallow leaves a thick dead wall that the light cannot get through. So the wall between the two scoops is drawn to a constant thickness right across the turn, which is what makes the green read at the same strength wherever you look into it. That single continuous wall is also the reason the piece can be cast at all: an even section sets evenly, and a form with a thick core and a thin skin would craze along the join.
It reads from every side and from above, which rules out a niche or anywhere pushed back against a wall. At 51cm it suits a central table, an island or a console that can be reached from either end, with the surface around it kept clear. Overhead light reaches into each scoop and lets the green show its depth; light from one side fills one and leaves the other dark, which is worth trying before settling on either.
Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The scoops are cut deeper or brought shallower, the green is taken toward blue or lifted to a pale mint, and the marble is offered at another size. Other diameters can be cast to order, and a steel disc is made in place of the stone. A frosted finish is also made and closes the piece up, since seeing into one scoop through the other is what it is for. It is crated on its outer curve with the stone laid flat beneath, and two pairs of hands move it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A green ball hollowed into two facing scoops belongs with our organic sculptures; green held at one strength through the wall leads to our resin sculptures, and a green ball for a central table joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
