Green Double Scoop Cut Sphere on Black Marble Resin Sculpture - 56cm, dark green exterior opening to glossy lime-green hollows, on a black marble base, plain white background.
Green Double Scoop Cut Sphere on Black Marble Resin Sculpture - 56cm $2,69900
Description

Deep green fills this ball, so dark at the rims that it reads almost black, and it opens out to a bright lime green inside each of its two winding scoops. Every cut face is polished to a glassy shine that catches the light as the ball is turned. A short stem lifts it off a low block of black marble, which is included.

Lime Green Hollows Inside a Dark Ball

The green is graded by the depth of the material, so the outer skin, where the resin is thickest, closes up almost to black while the scooped faces brighten into a vivid lime. That contrast is what makes the turn legible: each hollow reads as a lit space inside a dark shell, and the wall where the two scoops meet draws a dark line between them. The marble block beneath is kept plain and compact, and the stem holds the ball just clear of it, so the dark stone continues the colour of the rims instead of competing with the ball.

At 56cm it is right for the middle of a kitchen island or a round table, where people can walk past it on every side. Keep other objects back from it so nothing crowds the turn of the scoops, and give it one good light so the lime hollows glow. Against a white or grey wall the dark rims read sharply.

The Green, the Marble and Delivery

Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. A deeper emerald or a brighter lime can be cast instead, and the marble block can be made as a disc, an oblong or any outline you give us, or replaced in polished stainless steel. The ball can be frosted as well, which softens the hollows into an even glow. One crate carries ball and block, the ball resting on its curve in a fitted bed and the marble wrapped on its own, and two people share the lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A ball turning on a short stem over black marble belongs with our organic sculptures; deep green brightening to lime inside leads to our resin sculptures, and a lime-bright ball for an island joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
