A green slab set between two colourless blocks. A green plate set on the diagonal between a bubbled colourless block above and a clear block at the foot, on a square plan no wider than the stack is deep. One green, carried the length of the slab, with the blocks above and below it left without colour. It stands on the clear block at its foot, and nothing else is supplied.
A coloured plane set between two colourless ones is read through both of them, and the interesting part is that the colour does not appear to stop where the material does. The two clear blocks are doing two different jobs. The one at the foot is structure and has to be dead flat on its underside; the one above is there to be looked through, and its field of trapped air is the only busy passage in an otherwise plain object. Green set diagonally between two blocks of the same clear material is read through both, so the colour appears to continue into mass that holds none of it. Polished throughout, and the bubbled block at the top is left with its interior on show.
A shelf, a console or a low cabinet where the whole height is visible. A plain mid or dark ground. The colourless blocks need something to define their edges against. Light from one side reads through the green and pushes its colour into the clear blocks, which is the effect worth having. At a distance the green diagonal is the whole piece, and the bubbles in the top block are for the last two paces.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The diagonal can be steepened, the bubbles can be cleared, and the green can be exchanged for amber or blue. Open the diagonal further and the two clear blocks have to be moved apart, which changes the proportion of the whole stack. A steeper diagonal is the alteration most often asked for on this design, and it moves the two clear blocks apart rather than simply tilting the plate between them, so the whole proportion of the stack is redrawn with it. One crate, packed upright, with the slab supported at both ends. One person. Lift by the bottom block only. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A green slab held on the diagonal between clear blocks is found in our indoor sculptures; the tilted plane suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the green and clear casting is one of our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
