Green Craggy Boulder Resin Sculpture, 35–45cm, five emerald-green rough-textured boulder forms fading lighter at the crown, shown on a plain white background.
Green Craggy Boulder Resin Sculpture - 35–45cm $2,56400
Description

This cast resin sculpture is a boulder with a rough granular skin, offered in five distinct forms and supplied one per order. Each is a different form rather than a scaling of one, so the five differ in outline as much as in size. All five run a deep emerald green at the base that clears towards the crown.

Five Forms, One Skin, and Green Only Where the Mass Is

The five are distinct forms rather than steps of one, and the differences are worth knowing before choosing. Two of them stand tall and blocky with a flat crown; one is broad and low with a long sloping shoulder; one rises to a rounded peak; and one is a wedge with the mass gathered at one end. What they share is the surface, a coarse granular fracture over every face that scatters light in a dull sheen instead of returning it, which is what keeps a piece of green transparent material from reading as bottle glass. Colour follows the mass rather than the height: the emerald is strongest through the widest part of each form and thins upward until the crown is nearly colourless, so the same green reads dark and dense low down and pale where the material is least. No two are the same, and the differences are large enough to make a group of three read as a formation.

All five are surface pieces. At up to 45cm they sit well on a sideboard, a broad shelf or a writing desk, and each is weighty enough to need nothing beneath it. A dark or mid-toned surface underneath deepens the green considerably, and a white one bleaches the crown. Because the skin is matt they take a downlight better than a polished piece would, but side light is what shows the fracture. They work in groups, which is how most are taken: two or three at different heights on one long surface read as an outcrop rather than as ornaments. Indoor use only.

Choosing Among the Five, and the Alternative to the Green

Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. A group of three is matched so the greens relate. The picker holds five distinct forms at five prices and the prices do not run in order of size, because each is priced on its own volume rather than on its greatest dimension, so the dimensions above are the thing to read rather than the order of the list. On colour: this emerald is standard, and an aqua, an amber and a smoke grey are all made, with the gradient reversible so the colour is held at the crown instead. A colourless version is made and reads as ice. On the surface: the granular fracture is standard and a polished version is made on any of the five, which turns them bright and much less like stone. None comes with a base, since each has a flat cast underside. Each is boxed alone with the crown and the corners packed out, and any of them will go under one arm. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Comparable forms sit in our abstract sculptures, the boulder form belongs with our organic sculptures, and emerald resin that pales toward each crown leads to our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
