A boulder of green resin set into a dish worked into ripples and polished to a mirror, the dish much broader than the rock is tall. Emerald through the whole boulder, over a dish that gives back whatever is around it. The dish is part of what is bought, shallow and rippled across its whole face.
A mirrored surface under a translucent object gives it back upside down, so the boulder is read against its own reflection and appears to stand in water. The ripple work is what makes that reading specific rather than merely bright: without it the dish would be a mirror and not a pool. A translucent boulder in a mirrored dish means the material is read against its own reflection, so the rock appears to stand in water that is not there. The boulder is left with its quarried face and the dish is polished to a mirror, which is the whole contrast.
Floor work for a wide space. The dish is the plan dimension, and it needs clear floor in every direction. Keep the wall behind it plain and pale, because a mirrored dish returns whatever is there. Light from above puts the boulder twice into the room, once solid and once in the dish beneath it. The green carries across a courtyard and the ripple work in the dish is a near fact.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. If you would rather the dish brushed, it is finished that way; the green is exchanged on request and other rock heights are made. Swap the mirror for a brushed dish and the reflection goes, which halves what the piece does and quiets it considerably. Two crates, the dish laid and levelled first and the boulder set into it. Four people. The dish is the part that will not go through a door. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A green boulder standing in a rippled mirror belongs to our organic sculptures; the rock, green right through, sits with our resin sculptures, and a room with clear floor round the dish receives it among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
