Green Arched Shell Cream Seat Resin Armchair - 84cm $6,95200
Description

This armchair combines cast resin with upholstery. The shell is a tall arch in translucent green resin that closes round the sitter at both sides, and the green runs almost black where the two side edges thicken. A pale cream upholstered seat sits inside it. The seat sits low inside the arch.

An Arch of Green That Closes Round the Seat

The shell is one moulding, arch and sides together, and no joint shows anywhere along it. The green is a property of the section: the material is deepest at the two side edges, where it goes almost black, and it opens to a clear green across the back where the arch thins. The inner face is polished to the same grade as the outer, since a shell this deep is looked into from every position in a room. The rim is worked back by hand round the whole arch until no point on it can catch a sleeve.

Low and enclosing, it is made for lounging rather than upright dining, and it settles well into a sitting room, a study or the lounge of a hotel. The arch closes at both sides, so it reads as a private seat and wants open floor in front of it. Light coming through the shell from behind is what gives the green its depth.

The Green, the Cushion, and Where It Suits

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. Most of it is the arched shell. Three points are open. The green is offered deeper or in a different hue altogether, the cushions are covered in a material of your choosing, and the arch can be drawn higher. Seat width and shell height are settled at order. The reach of the green to the shell edge is common to a single order and particular to it. Nothing bears on the two shell edges and the seat cushion in transit, and four people are enough to place it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A green arch closing round a cream seat is a lounge chair from our art furniture; the enclosing curve suits our organic sculptures, and the translucent shell our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.

Questions Before You Order?

If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
