Green Arched Abstract Upright Resin Sculpture, 160cm, curved clear green form with flared fin on a black marble base, plain white background.
Green Arched Abstract Upright Resin Sculpture - 160cm $6,68200
Description

The body of this arched upright climbs off a splayed foot, turns over at the top into a flare cut square across its opening, and throws a broad fin out to one side. A clear green runs the whole body, deepest through the standing wall and palest where the flare thins out. A shallow black marble block is supplied beneath it.

Colour Held Across a Broad Fin

In a clear green the same form does the opposite: the light goes into the body and comes back changed, which is only possible because nothing is reflected off the front. The fin is what gives this upright its width: it reaches well out from the centre line, and everything about the foot follows from that. A body this wide has to hold one shade of green from end to end, and a difference of a single tone would show across that span. Polished over every face, so the green is read through the depth rather than off the skin.

A hall or a wide landing, turned so the fin comes out toward the room. A pale ground behind it. Green on green is the one pairing that loses the outline altogether. Daylight from the side puts an edge on the flare; a single warm lamp turns the whole body olive. The fin is what you see from the door, and the opening at the top only reads once you are alongside.

Widening the Fin, and How It Arrives

Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The green is taken toward blue, the fin is drawn wider, and a deeper block is cut for it. Widen the fin and the block is deepened under it, since the reach and the footprint are settled together. The block is set down where it will stay and levelled there, and the casting comes onto it afterwards. Two people at this width, both hands under the standing body. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear green upright throwing out a broad fin belongs to our organic sculptures; the clear green body belongs among our resin sculptures, and a wide landing gives the fin room among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
