Green & White Spiral Ribbon Resin Sculpture - 65cm, a frosted ribbon spiraling from green at the base to white at its trumpet crown, on a black marble block against a plain light background.
Green & White Spiral Ribbon Resin Sculpture - 65cm $1,68700
Description

A frosted resin ribbon, green below and white above. The ribbon leaves the stone and spirals up through several turns, widening as it goes and opening at the crown into a small trumpet. Green at the foot clearing the whole way to white at the trumpet. A black marble block is included beneath it.

A Climb Counted in Turns

A spiral is counted by its turns, and the count is what the drawing has to control: too few and the ribbon reads as a bend, too many and it reads as a thread. Three turns is what this height will take: a fourth would crowd them and a second would read as a bend rather than a climb. One green through a body that lets go of it as the spiral rises is the whole of this: the resin is the same thickness at the trumpet as at the foot, and only the colour says otherwise. Polished inside and out along the whole spiral, the trumpet rim left thin.

A desk or a narrow shelf will take it. It reads best a little below the eye. A dark ground behind it, or the pale crown simply stops where the wall starts. One source from above finds the trumpet; anything from below lights the stone and little else. The spiral carries; the change of colour is a near fact.

Another Count of Turns, and a Small Crate

Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Say the word and the turns are counted differently, the green is exchanged, or the trumpet is opened wider. Add a turn and the ribbon thins with it, because the spiral has the same height to climb however many passes it makes. The count of turns is fixed at the drawing. A small crate, and it is out of it in a moment. One person can carry it, with a hand under the block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Frosted spirals opening into a trumpet are gathered in our organic sculptures; the green-to-white casting belongs with our resin sculptures, and small pieces for a quiet corner are in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
