Green & White Frosted Rock Resin Sculpture - 70cm
Green & White Frosted Rock Resin Sculpture - 70cm $2,70000
Description

A rock form in a frosted body, the mass gathering toward the foot and thinning as it rises, on a wide slab of dark stone. Green at the foot gives out into white at the crown, so the graduation runs the full height with nothing repeated. A wide, shallow base of black marble comes with it.

Light Scattered Rather Than Returned

Frosting is usually a way of hiding what is underneath. Here it does the opposite. The graduation is legible only because the surface scatters, and a polished version of this same casting would show two bright reflections and no colour run at all. Frosting a coloured body means the material scatters the light instead of returning it, and the green reads as a depth rather than a tint on the surface. Frosted all over, with no polished face anywhere on it.

It belongs on a wide sill or the top of a hall cupboard, with room enough around it to be walked past. The ground behind it can be anything at all, because a frosted body takes nothing from what is behind it. A lamp close to it makes the whole crown glow; daylight at a distance leaves it matt. The graduation reads from across a room and the frosted texture only appears close to.

Running the Colour the Other Way, and Delivery

Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The colour can be run the other way, the frosting can be taken off one face, and the piece is made at other heights. Run the colour the other way and the mass reads as settling rather than rising, which is a different piece at the same measurements. One crate holds both parts. The marble is laid where it is going and the rock follows it straight out of the packing. Two people. The stone is wide and the grip is at the ends. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A frosted rock that pales upward from green belongs to our organic sculptures; its scattered-light finish places it in our resin sculptures, and more to stand by a doorway waits in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
