Green & White Frosted Rock Resin Sculpture - 250cm
Green & White Frosted Rock Resin Sculpture - 250cm $63,19200
Description

A quarried mass rising from a broad foot to a narrow crown, its whole surface worked rough so that no face anywhere on it returns a reflection. Dark green at the quarried foot, clearing through to white at the crown, with the run spread over the whole height. Nothing is supplied beneath it. The quarried foot is cut level and the rock stands on that.

A Colour Run That Cannot Be Read at Once

A graduation over a height like this cannot be held in the eye at once, so it is drawn as three stages rather than as a run, and the working of the surface marks where each one begins. Carrying one graduation over a height like this means the casting has to stay consistent through every stage of it, since a change of density anywhere in the mass would read as a fault in the stone rather than as part of the colour. The mass is what carries the run and the worked face is what makes it readable, since nothing anywhere on that surface gives light straight back. Worked rough over the whole surface, with no polished face anywhere on it.

Floor work for an atrium or a stairwell, since it wants the height of a room rather than the width of its floor. A plain wall behind it, dark. A pale ground behind a white crown removes the top third of the piece. Light from one side fills the worked surface; flat light turns the whole height into one grey face. The eye is taken up the graduation from the dark foot to the white crown, and the worked surface only registers close to.

Reversing the Run, and Standing It Upright

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Say the word and the run is reversed, the green is exchanged, or the rock is made at another height. Reverse the run and the rock reads as settling rather than rising, which at this height changes the whole of what it does. One crate on a pallet, and it is stood upright by machine rather than by hand. Four people and a trolley. Nothing about this one is a manual lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A quarried rock rising from green to white belongs to our organic sculptures; its roughly worked surface sets it among our resin sculptures, and more at this towering scale waits in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
