Green & White Eroded Slab Resin Sculpture - 42cm
Green & White Eroded Slab Resin Sculpture - 42cm $1,55300
Description

A slab worked all over into an eroded face, pitted and undercut across its whole width, on a block of black marble. Dark green at the foot clearing to white at the crown, with the worked surface catching both. The outline is ragged all round, like a broken edge of rock. Black marble is supplied beneath it, cut close to the slab's footprint.

A Rock Face With No Grain to Borrow

Erosion cut into a frosted slab gives every pit its own shadow, which is how a rock face is delivered in a material that has no grain of its own. Stone brings its own grain to a rock face and resin brings none, so the erosion has to supply it. Every pit is worked until it keeps a shadow, and that shadow is all that stands between this piece and a smooth green wedge. An eroded surface in a frosted body means every pit holds its own shadow, so the rock is read by relief rather than by the colour that runs behind it. Frosted over the whole face, with the eroded working left exactly as cut.

A study shelf or a cabinet top, set where it can be looked at closely rather than passed. A pale ground behind it, so the dark foot has something to read against. Light raking across the face is what fills the erosion; light square onto it flattens the whole slab. The silhouette carries across a room and the eroded face is entirely a near fact.

Cutting the Erosion Deeper, and One Crate

Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. On request the erosion is cut deeper, another tint replaces the green, or the slab is made at another height. Deepen the erosion and the slab is thickened to carry it, since a face cut this far into a thin body would break the outline. One crate with the marble beneath, and the pair go together on the shelf itself. Two people, hands on the outside edges of the slab. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A frosted slab eroded like a rock face belongs to our organic sculptures; the green clearing to white across its face joins our resin sculptures, and a place where it is looked at closely keeps it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
