An upright slab worked into a pitted rock face, graduating from a dark foot to a pale crown over a small height. Green low down and white at the top, with every pit catching one end of the run or the other. It is supplied with a black marble block. The pits are deepest where the green is darkest, so the foot reads heavier than the crown.
A rock this small is taken in at a single look, so nothing on it can be left to a second glance. On a piece this small the same graduation has to be taken in at one look rather than in stages, so the run is compressed and the pitting is cut deeper in proportion to hold it. Erosion cut into a frosted body gives every pit a shadow of its own, so the rock face is delivered by relief where a polished casting would give back a reflection instead. Frosted over the whole face, with the pitting left exactly as worked.
A study shelf or a cabinet top suits it, at the distance from which the pitting can actually be seen. Something pale at its back, so the dark foot has an edge to read against. Raking light fills the erosion. Light square onto the face flattens the slab away to nothing. The eye takes the outline from across a room and the pitting only from within arm's reach.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. Say the word and the pitting is cut deeper, the green exchanged, or the slab made at another height. Deepen the pitting and the slab gains depth behind it, since pits cut that deep through a body this thin would take the outline with them. One crate, the marble packed beneath, and the two are married up on the shelf itself. Two people, taking it by the outer edges of the slab rather than the face. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A frosted rock face pitted by erosion belongs to our organic sculptures; the pitted face links it to our resin sculptures, and a study shelf shows its pitting among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
