Green & Cobalt Petal Shell Resin Swivel Chair - 80cm
Green & Cobalt Petal Shell Resin Swivel Chair - 80cm $3,37600
Description

Colour moves across this petal shell from one side to the other. Grass-green ink threads through the clear resin on the left of the back, the middle stays mostly clear, and on the right the resin floods with a deep cobalt blue. Teal gathers in the seat and along the rim, where the two colours meet. Column and disc beneath are both a deep, even black.

Green Threads Giving Way to Cobalt

This is a gradient rather than a swirl. The green is fine and wiry, drawn in threads and small knots, while the cobalt is a solid tint that deepens towards the right-hand petals, so the two halves differ in texture as well as in colour. Where they overlap, in the seat and along the rim, they mix to teal. Clear resin in the centre of the back keeps the change easy to read, and against the black stand the blue looks deeper still, close to the colour of ink in a bottle.

Green and cobalt suit a room with white walls and pale timber, or one painted navy or bottle green. As a desk chair, at a vanity or as a statement seat by a window it brings strong colour in one compact piece, and it reads as well from behind as from the front. It turns on its column. Give the black disc a firm, level footing. Indoor use only.

Where the Green Ends: Order Choices and Delivery

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The point where green gives way to blue can be moved when ordering, and either colour can be made stronger or softer. This stand is black, and polished chrome or a satin or brushed brass can replace it. Because the colour is laid in by hand, the gradient falls a little differently on each shell. Delivery is in two parts, shell and column, which bolt together beneath the seat using the fixings that travel with them. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Graded green to cobalt, this seat belongs to our art furniture; the black column links it to our metal sculptures, and the flowing petal shell to our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
