Green & Clear Streaked Slab Resin Sculpture - 30cm with sweeping green strokes across a clear-edged resin slab on a black marble base, shown against a plain light background.
Green & Clear Streaked Slab Resin Sculpture - 30cm $1,90600
Description

A thick slab of resin with a rounded crown and a curved foot, standing upright on a black marble base. Long green strokes sweep across it from one upper corner and down towards the other side, packed close across the whole face with no break in the green, while a clear margin runs round its edge. The base is included and is wider than the slab standing on it.

Strokes That Run Corner to Corner

Strokes laid through a slab this thick are read inside the material as well as on it, so the green has depth before it has any pattern. They sweep from one upper corner down and across in long, slightly waving lines, and nothing interrupts them: the green runs unbroken across the face, bright along the ridge of each stroke and deep in the grooves between, so it reads as one body of colour with its own light and shade. A clear margin is left round the whole face, so the strokes stop short of the edge and the colour sits held inside a block of clear resin.

With its base it rises to 30cm, which suits a window ledge, a desk or a shelf, and a window is the best of the three, since light from behind brings up the clear margin and the depth of the strokes. Standing it with a light source in front flattens both faces into one. The base is wider than the slab, which means it needs a little more surface than the piece itself suggests. The strokes run corner to corner without a break, so the face presents as a moving surface held still rather than as a pattern applied to a slab.

The Strokes, the Green, and Delivery

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The clear margin is widened or narrowed, the green is deepened, and the slab is given square corners instead of rounded ones. The slab is cut at other heights, and the stroke count is set to the face rather than carried over. Drawn in fewer, broader strokes, the slab becomes a quieter object, though it gives up some of the depth that close strokes build. The base is offered in a pale stone, which alters the bottom third of the slab. It is boxed with the slab already on its base, and it is lifted by the base, never by the slab's thin edge. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Drawn in strokes rather than modelled, it is organic sculpture; the green is laid through resin sculpture; and a single broad face is what indoor sculpture rewards on a desk.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
