Golden Yellow Furled Leaf Resin Sculpture on Marble, 102cm, with ribbed diamond-textured curling and fan-shaped forms on a black base, set against a plain white background.
Golden Yellow Furled Leaf Resin Sculpture on Marble - 102cm $4,14600
Description

A cast resin sculpture in golden yellow: a single foot divides into two furled forms, one climbing high and curling over at its tip, the other opening into a broad fan like a leaf half unrolled, with a clear wing thrown sideways halfway up. Crossing ribs net every surface in small raised diamonds. The yellow is warm and bright through the body, darkening to a deep amber, almost brown, round the foot and on the rim of the climbing form, and it fades to colourless across both flares. A squared block of black marble carries the piece and comes with it.

Golden Yellow Netted in Raised Diamonds

The lattice works at two distances. Across a room the crossing ribs blur into a fine glitter over the yellow, so the form reads first as a warm, glowing outline; close to, each small diamond holds its own point of light, and the pattern can be followed as it swells over the fan and tightens round the curl. The ribs are drawn to follow the furl instead of being laid flat over it, so their spacing opens and closes with the form. The darker amber at the foot and along one edge gives the yellow something to rise from, so the colour never looks thin or washed out.

At 102cm, block included, it wants the floor or a low plinth: a sunny hallway, the turn of a stair or a bay where daylight crosses it. Side light suits it best, raking across the diamonds and bringing up the dark amber at the foot; flat light from the front dulls the texture to a plain yellow. It sits easily with oak, cream plaster and brass, and a dark green or ink-blue wall behind it makes the colour glow.

Golden Tint, Ribbing and Getting It Home

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The yellow can be deepened towards amber or paled to straw, and the dark foot left out for an even tint from top to bottom. On commission the crossing ribs can be opened up or set closer, or the surface left smooth and polished, and the furls can be drawn to open further or stay tight. White or grey stone can replace the black marble of the block. The piece is taken up by its foot, never by the curl or the fan, whose thin edges are the most delicate part of it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Golden yellow furls netted in raised diamonds over black marble find a place among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
