Description

A small peak of clear resin whose summit and upper slopes are covered in gold leaf, the gold breaking up into scattered flakes as it comes down towards the foot. The shape is rough and broken, with its summit off to the left and a shoulder at the right. The casting needs no stand.

Gold Over the Summit, Flakes Below

Gold at the top of a mountain reads at once as sunlight on a peak, and covering the upper slopes completely gives this small piece a presence well beyond its size. Lower down the leaf thins into separate flakes and then into clear resin, so the change from gold to glass happens across the middle of the mountain rather than at a hard line. The rough surface catches the leaf at many angles, so it glints from every side rather than shining from one, and the clear foot keeps the piece light.

A desk, a hall table or a bookshelf all suit it, and it holds its own beside books or a lamp. Gold wants moving light: near a window, or by a lamp switched on in the evening, the leaf shows best. Against a dark wall the gold summit stands out sharply from across the room, even in the evening.

How Far the Gold Comes Down, and Delivery

Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. The gold can reach right down to the foot or stop at the summit, silver leaf can replace it, and the clear part can be tinted. The surface can be frosted under the gold so the leaf sits on a softer ground. Leaf can be laid more thinly for a paler, more broken gold. It is boxed in fitted foam with the gilded summit protected, and it lifts out in one hand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A small gilded peak with a clear foot belongs with our organic sculptures; gold giving way to clear resin near the foot links it to our resin sculptures, and gold that glints in evening lamplight suits our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
