An open curl of resin, a ribbon that rises from a narrow foot into a slim, raised tip at one end and swells into a deep, rounded bowl at the other, leaving a wide gap at the top between them. Crackled gold-toned flakes cover it almost everywhere, inside and out, broken by darker mottling, and every rim is edged in a thin line of amber-red that deepens to amber along the outer wall near the foot. A marble base is included.
With gold covering almost the whole surface, the drawing of this curl is left to its edges. Every rim carries a thin line of amber-red, so the outline of the ribbon stays crisp however much the flakes glitter, and the colour deepens to a richer amber where the outer wall turns under towards the foot. The flakes themselves are crackled rather than smooth, with darker mottling caught between them, which keeps the gold from reading as one flat sheet and gives the inner face of the bowl a depth of its own. The slim tip and the deep bowl are left to answer each other across the open gap.
Placed on a wide shelf or a long console, it should be turned so the inside of the bowl faces the room and catches the light. A warm lamp beside it makes the gold glow, while cool daylight shows the crackle more sharply. A dark wall behind sets the amber-red rims off clearly, and a pale one lets the whole piece read as a single gold form. Give it space on either side so the gap between the tip and the bowl stays open.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. On commission the gold-toned flakes can be laid more thinly to let clear resin show between them, the amber-red of the rims deepened towards ruby or lightened to honey, and the base cut in another marble. Other spans of curl are possible, the gap kept in proportion. It is crated with the tip and the rim of the bowl padded and the base packed apart, and the curl is lifted by its foot and the underside of the bowl, never by the slim tip. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Gold inside and out with amber-red at every rim, this open curl joins our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
