A long ribbon of frosted white resin that hangs straight down, curling over at the top and then twisting, folding and rippling for the whole of its length before it settles into a flat, straight tail. The frosting gives it a soft, milky surface that holds light evenly, so the folds read by their shadows. It is sold as a single ribbon.
A ribbon in resin must seem to be caught in the middle of falling. The twists here are uneven on purpose: tight near the top, then a long slack fold, then a sudden ripple near the middle, as though the ribbon had caught a draught, and the flat tail at the foot lets the movement come to rest. Frosting the surface keeps the eye on the shape and off reflections, and the edges are kept thin so that the ribbon looks light for all its considerable length.
Its height suits a stairwell, a tall window bay or a double-height hall, and it works well where people pass close by and can follow the twists down. Several hung at staggered heights make a quiet installation in a lobby or a gallery, and a dark ground behind them gives the frosted white a crisp outline.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Each ribbon is priced singly, so a group can be ordered and hung together, and the twists can be varied from ribbon to ribbon so that no two in a group repeat. It can also be cast clear or tinted, in pale blue, champagne or smoke. It is packed lying flat in a long crate with the folds supported, and an installer hangs it on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A frosted ribbon that twists as it falls belongs with our organic sculptures; a long hanging form in white resin suits our resin sculptures, and a long ribbon for a tall stairwell joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
