Frosted White & Teal Crashing Wave Resin Sculpture, 250cm, with a deep teal base rising into curling white foam crests, shown on a plain white background.
Frosted White & Teal Crashing Wave Resin Sculpture - 250cm $29,69600
Description

A great crashing wave of resin. Its heavy foot is a deep teal, streaked with the lines of moving water, and from it the wave rears up at one end into a high, curling crest and, near the other, into a slim crest that leans in over the trough, with a small crest breaking between them. Each crest breaks at its top into clusters of foam. The resin is frosted, so the teal glows softly and the crests are white, and every surface is textured with the grain of the sea.

Teal Water Rearing Into Frosted Foam

The crests make this wave a drama in three parts, a high curl at one end, a slim crest near the other and a small one breaking in the trough between them, where the water gathers deep. The colour follows the physics of the sea: dense teal where the water is heaviest, white where it is thrown into foam. The foam itself is modelled as clusters of small rounded forms, heavily textured, so the tops read as spray and the body as solid water. Frosting softens everything into a glow.

Stand it on the floor of a lobby, an atrium, a gallery or a spacious hall, with a long view towards it and a clear path all round. It needs clear floor on every side. Daylight makes the teal glow and the white crests shine, and a dark wall behind sharpens the foam. It will be the centre of any room it is in.

Colour, Crests and Installation

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The body can be tinted blue, green or smoke instead of teal, and the crests can be drawn higher or broader; a polished finish in place of the frost gives a glassy wave. A glassy wave reads as clear water; frosted, it reads as the sea in winter. Its crate is made to fit round the crests, and the wave is only ever lifted by its heavy foot, with no strain taken on any crest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Rearing into three foaming crests over its heavy teal foot, this wave breaks across our resin sculptures, our organic sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
