Description

This dining chair is cast in frosted resin with turquoise worked into it. The colour is strongest in the thick slab seat, which glows a clear aqua along its front and sides, and it fades as it climbs the broad back panel and runs down each of the three legs, until they read as a pale, misty grey-white. A short post stands in the middle of the back, outlined in the same aqua, and every edge is softly rounded.

Turquoise Gathered in the Seat of a Frosted Chair

Colour here gathers in the seat. The slab is deep and rounded, and the turquoise collects in it so its whole front edge glows like shallow sea water, while the back and the legs keep only a trace of it at their edges. Seen from the front, the chair therefore reads as a bright band of aqua held up on misty columns, with a soft grey-white panel rising behind. The frost is even and matt on every face, so nothing glints; the colour changes by degrees rather than at a line, and the upright in the middle of the back shows as a faint aqua outline.

At 73cm it sits at an ordinary dining height, so it can be drawn up to a table or a desk in a kitchen, a study or a dining room. It brings colour to a pale room without shouting, and several around a white or oak table make a band of aqua at seat level. Set it where daylight reaches it from the side and the seat glows; against a dark wall the frosted back turns silvery and the turquoise stands out more strongly. A hard floor suits the three round feet better than a deep rug. Indoors only.

The tint can be taken deeper, until the seat reads as solid turquoise, or kept faint so only the edges hold the colour, and the colour can be carried right up the back. Frosting comes in this soft matt or a smoother satin, and the seat is pitched to match the table it is bought for, with the back and the frame quoted to suit. Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
