Frosted Green Wound Ribbon Curl Resin Sculpture, 110cm, with ribbon-like curls in sea green tones on a plain white background.
Frosted Green Wound Ribbon Curl Resin Sculpture - 110cm $2,69700
Description

A ribbon climbing in four loose curls, each one folding back across the last, frosted all over in a soft sea green. The colour deepens wherever two turns pass over each other and pales almost to white at the flared mouth at the top, the frost keeping both shades soft and even.

Sea Green Frosted Over Four Curls

Frosting changes what a wound ribbon is. Polished, the curls would be read through, each showing the next behind it; frosted, they are read off their surfaces, so every turn becomes a soft solid and the spiral is felt as a sequence of shapes rather than as a line. The green sits on the skin of the resin, deepest where two curls pass over each other, and the flared mouth at the top is left almost white. The edges of each curl are kept crisp under the frost, which is what stops a soft finish turning vague.

On a console in a study or on a low plinth in a living room, it reads as a green column from the door and resolves into curls at about two paces. A pale wall behind suits it, and a warm lamp brings the green up gently, since the frost holds light instead of passing it through. Give it a little space on either side.

A Frosted Green, Other Finishes, and Delivery

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. The green can be taken deeper toward forest or lighter toward celadon, and the frost left off for a glossy finish that lets the curls be read through each other. The ribbon can also be wound through five curls rather than four. It travels in a single crate, upright, and one person can carry it, one hand beneath the lowest curl and the other steadying the turn above. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Ribbons wound into overlapping curls belong with our organic sculptures; frosted sea green resin suits our resin sculptures, and a soft green column joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
