Frosted Blue Grey Rising Twist Resin Sculpture - 74cm
Frosted Blue Grey Rising Twist Resin Sculpture - 74cm $1,75600
Description

A single twist in frosted blue-grey resin, climbing from a bowl-shaped foot and ending in a slender point. The frosted finish makes the surface soft and matt, like sea-smoothed stone, and the slate colour is deep in the bowl and a little lighter along the twist. A black marble block carries it and is supplied.

Soft Slate, Frosted All Over

Frosting changes how this form behaves in light. Instead of bright edges and reflections, the whole twist glows softly and evenly, so its shape is read as a calm silhouette, and the blue-grey colour reads as one unbroken tone from the bowl to the point. It is a quiet, sophisticated finish that sits well in a modern room. The frosting is laid evenly over every face, and the tone varies a little from piece to piece, as a hand-finished surface always will.

It belongs on a console or a writing desk in a study, a bedroom or a modern living room. It suits grey, navy and stone-coloured schemes and sits well beside linen, concrete and oak. Lamplight at one side gives it a gentle glow; a pale wall shows its slate outline, and because the surface does not reflect, it looks the same from every angle.

Glossy or Frosted, and Getting It Home

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. A glossy polish can replace the frosting, and the colour can be taken towards navy or a warmer grey. The block can be had in pale stone. The same twist comes in amber, in aqua and in blue and clear, all sold on their own. It travels in a small crate on its block, and one person unpacks it by the stone; it is lifted clear of the packing without touching the fine point. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Frosted slate blue-grey on a slim rising twist is among our resin sculptures; its soft, matt form belongs with our organic sculptures, and it settles into a reading room with our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
