This cast resin console takes the form of a Chinese altar table: four legs set in from the corners, a flat top oversailing them at both ends, and a stretcher joining each pair of legs at mid-height. Everything is clear resin, and every surface is worked to a coarse frost, so the piece reads as ice rather than glass. At several points on the legs the material carries pale amber inclusions, irregular and set at different heights, which are the only warm notes on the piece.
The form is borrowed exactly and the material is not. This is a Chinese altar table in its proportions: legs set in from the corners, a top running past them at both ends, and a cross-bar between the legs at each end. Rendered in timber it would be familiar. Rendered in clear resin worked to a coarse frost on every face, it reads as ice cut to a joiner's drawing. The frost is what makes it work: a polished version would look like glass furniture, and the roughened surface keeps the mass legible. Pale amber inclusions sit at different heights on the legs, and they are the only warm notes on an otherwise white object.
It is a hall console or a wall piece, not a dining table, and it wants a long stretch of clear wall. A dark floor is the making of it: the frosted resin reads as white and stands away from the ground, whereas on a pale floor it merges. The four legs need level footing. Four people. Indoor use only.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The frost texture sets the pace here. Three points are open. The length is open, the frost can be run coarser or finer, and the piece is offered tinted. The amber inclusions can be left out, or placed at heights you nominate. Overall length and top thickness are quoted to whatever you need. Two of these will match on the coarseness of the frost if they are ordered at the same time. It ships with the legs and stretchers wrapped, and four people should position it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An altar table rendered as frosted ice belongs with our organic sculptures; against an entrance wall it serves among our art furniture, and in a quiet hallway among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
