Deep Teal Guardian Lion with Ball Under One Paw Resin Sculpture - 38cm
Deep Teal Guardian Lion with Ball Under One Paw Resin Sculpture - 38cm $2,56200
Description

Teal resin dark enough to look almost black in the mane forms this seated guardian, and a carved ball is held beneath one of its forepaws. Where the resin thins, through the chest and down the flank, the colour clears to a glassy blue-green, and above an open mouth the mane is a crown of close curls.

Deep Teal Curls Over a Carved Ball

With a colour this deep, the carving has to carry the detail that light carries in a clear casting. Every curl is cut back until it holds a pocket of shadow, while the ball's open pattern is taken deep enough to read under the paw. Teal collects in the thickest parts of the casting, so the mane and paws read darkest and the chest stays bright. Trapped air is checked for on every casting, since a single bubble in teal glints like a pin of light.

At 38cm the lion fits a sideboard, a deep sill or a hall chest. Its companion is the teal lion that keeps its ball beneath the opposite paw, and the two flank an entrance or a fireplace as a pair. A pale wall or light oak keeps the teal from closing into a silhouette, and side light brings the curls forward. Alone, place it so the ball is the first thing a visitor sees.

Teal, the Companion Lion and Delivery

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. Lighter aqua or a darker teal can be poured instead, and the same model also comes in blue, in amber and in clear resin set with gold leaf. One animal is priced here, so a pair needs its companion ordered too, made to the same size. Sizes other than this one are quoted on request. A fitted crate carries it singly, and a single person can raise it by the haunches. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A teal guardian lion with a carved ball under its paw joins our lion statues; its curled mane and open mouth suit our figurative sculptures, and a teal so dark it nears black our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
