Deep Amber Swirl Petal Resin Swivel Chair, 75cm, with tortoiseshell-veined amber resin petal shell on a chrome column and disc base, shown against a plain white background.
Deep Amber Swirl Petal Resin Swivel Chair - 75cm $3,78200
Description

The shell of this swivel chair is a deep, glowing amber, honey at the crown and burnt orange around the seat, veined throughout with dark brown in the manner of tortoiseshell. It opens into lobes with a point at each arm, and its rolled lip darkens to red-brown. Beneath it a chrome column rises from a polished chrome disc.

Tortoiseshell Veining in Glowing Amber

Saturated colour is the point of this shell. The amber is deep and even from the crown to the seat, so it glows even in flat daylight. Dark brown veins and smoky patches run through it, irregular and unrepeatable, giving the tortoiseshell effect and breaking up what would otherwise be one sweet colour. The veining gathers most thickly across the back and the seat, and along the rolled lip the amber deepens towards red-brown. Chrome answers all that warmth with something cool, and the polished disc catches the amber from above.

Amber over chrome has a mid-century feel and suits walnut, teak, cream walls and brass lamps. It works at a dressing table, at a writing desk, or as a single statement seat in a bedroom or on a landing, turning on its column to meet whoever comes to sit. Warm evening lamplight makes the amber glow. On boards, stone or a close-pile rug the disc sits level. Indoor use only.

Veining, Base Finish and How the Chair Travels

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The veining can be asked for heavier or lighter when the order is placed, and the amber can be taken towards a paler honey. Black, brass and chrome are the base finishes, and this one is chrome. Because the colour is worked into each shell by hand, the veins fall differently every time. Shell and base are packed in separate crates and bolt together on site, with the hex key provided for the job. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Tortoiseshell amber puts this chair among our art furniture; polished chrome links it to our metal sculptures, and its unfolding lobes to our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
