A crescent of cast resin that sweeps up from a fine point at one end to a tall, rounded lip at the other, so the two ends finish at quite different heights and widths. Deep amber runs through the body, darkest through the belly and the hollow of the curve, and clears to a golden honey up the outer face of the tall end. A short polished steel stem carries it from a stainless steel block, and both are included.
Lifting a crescent on a stem rather than setting it on a block changes what the two ends are doing. On a block the lower end is the foot and the form reads as supported; on a stem the piece is held at one point near its middle and both ends are free, which is the whole argument for the asymmetry between them. The stem is kept short for the same reason. A tall one would make the crescent an object on a stand, where a short one, polished and slender, lets it read as held from beneath rather than displayed.
A writing desk or a console, turned so the lip faces out - that is the view where the two ends differ most. A source behind it carries the amber through the tall end, where the colour clears to honey. The polished stem and block ask for a plain surface, where nothing busy is caught in the steel. Lifted on a short stem, the crescent clears the block and is read against the wall, with the fine point and the rounded lip finishing at quite different heights.
As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The amber is cleared at the lip or deepened through the tall end, and the stem is drawn out further. Overall height is picked at the order, and the stem is made to suit the crescent above it. A longer stem is made where the crescent is wanted well clear of the surface, though it then reads as an object on a stand rather than one held. Stem, block and crescent travel in one box with the fine point protected, and the piece is lifted by its block, never by either end of the crescent. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
The stem beneath it is stainless steel sculpture; the crescent is organic sculpture; and deep amber belongs in indoor sculpture.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
