This console table pairs a dark slab with bronze bamboo. The top is a dark slab, near black and glossy, with grain running along its length under the surface. At one end a solid panel drops to the floor and carries it. Rising through the slab, and continuing below it to stand on the floor, are six bronze segments cut like lengths of bamboo: three stand above the top at different heights and three run down beneath it.
The bamboo segments are what make this more than a slab on a leg. They pass through the top rather than sitting on it, so the same members are read above and below the line of the slab, and because they stand at different heights the group reads as a cluster rather than a row. Each segment is cut square across and carries the raised collar of a bamboo node, and the bronze is warm enough to separate cleanly from the near-black slab. That slab is dark but not opaque: held against light the grain inside it shows as long streaks running the length. The single panel leg at one end leaves the other end unsupported to the eye, which is what gives the piece its cantilever.
Shallow enough to pass in a corridor, it stands well in a hall, on a landing or behind a sofa. The bamboo segments stand above the top, so it will not take a lamp or a tray across its whole length: the clear run is the half towards the panel leg. It suits a plain wall, which the bronze reads against, and light from the side is what separates the segments from the slab. Indoors only.
Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. Three things are worth deciding early. The length of the slab comes first, and the segment cluster is redrawn to suit whatever run is chosen. The segments are second: six as here, or three for a quieter object, or a single tall one. And the metal, which can be this warm bronze, a blackened steel that disappears into the slab, or a polished brass that lifts it. Top length and height are quoted to your own figures. A set is made together so the colour holds across all of them. One crate, and two people to lift it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Bronze bamboo driven through a dark slab gives this console a place in our art furniture; the cast segments relate it to our metal sculptures, and the glossy top to our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
